Big disappointment!!

I am writing this just to give a heads up to others. It seems most other reviews are the same as what I had experienced. We chose to come here from having time in Noosa which turned out to be a mistake! The place looks welcoming and grand, but appearances can be deceptive. The room was tired, sliding exterior bedroom door didn't close properly and we had a stormy night where wind and rain were a problem. TV remote was dodgy and turned on both tv's simultaneously. Uncomfortable old sofas in room. Light not working in main room. Room service expensive and not adequate sized meal. Food was luke-warm to cold for breakfast buffet, quite concerning health wise! No advertising of omelettes being available until we saw someone with one and asked, they were making them fresh. Would have been nice to know this! Dinner menu was inadequate apart from one meal special of buffalo wings and truffle fries (fantastic). Mini golf- a few holes in a bit of lawn!! Really? Staff looked sad and disinterested, a few exceptions who were friendly and helpful. Pool simply doesn't work, overrun by kids not controlled by parents and spa is a nightmare. The only positives were 2 free drinks each night on our package, Lake walk is lovely. The aim is to have an all inclusive space for a holiday but it had no heart or love within. Would not return.

You will find better elsewhere. The rooms are very old & out dated. Room 137 was a disgrace. The bed sunk in the middle making for a very uncomfortable experience. The vanity had a very large crack along the basin. I was meeting up with my daughter & 2 grandsons. We ordered dinner & explained twice that the first part of our order was to be an entree. No it all came out together! That is not acceptable even in the cheapest restaurants. The highlight was the breakfast. WOW it was amazing.

My husband and I booked a staycation here for a night for our 19th wedding anniversary. We live on the Sunshine Coast and just wanted a nice night away. The reception is amazing but that’s where it ends. The rooms are very dated and the bed was very hard. No robes, no slippers. We normally stay at Altitude at Montville where you get all this plus a spa on the balcony for much cheaper. The buffet breakfast was good although the hot food was cold. The best part of our night was the local Thai restaurant Baan Mai, amazing! Would be revisit, no.

We have loved our stay at the Novotel Sunshine Coast, a big resort with so much to do! The inclusivities are great, a lot of activities and amenities to spend your time enjoying. The resort is definitely scenic and stunning! Our high tea experience was incredible, great food and amazing service from Kimberly.

I wasn't going to write a review but since we have tried to ring and absolutely no answer to discuss this I've decided to write one. The reception experience fell short of expectations, lacking courtesy and attention to detail. Despite notifying them of our late arrival, we were informed that our room wouldn't be ready until 2 pm, even though we had prepaid for that night. Additionally, there was no apology for the inconvenience caused, nor acknowledgment of the mistake in assigning us a room intended for another guest with the same last name. It wasn't until we scrutinized the details that we realized the error in our reservation. Additionally, weekends at the establishment seemed overrun with children, lacking supervision as evident by their behavior around the pool area. The limited dinner menu and remote location from nearby amenities added to the inconvenience, requiring transportation for dining options. The food is limited but all meals were lovely. Cocktails by all staff are consistent and very well made. The lake walk was our highlight and the pool was clean. Furthermore, the restricted room servicing hours between 1 pm and 4 o'clock posed challenges, especially for guests who had utilized towels and desired a shower after swimming or other activities. While the resort may cater well to families seeking a kid-friendly environment, it falls short for those seeking a tranquil, adult-oriented getaway. Considering these aspects, returning to this establishment is unlikely, unless catering to families or group gatherings.
